5 Insta-Worthy Spots In Budapest

Budapest is an Instagrammer's dream.

It's filled with Insta-worthy spots that you need to fill your grid with. If you're planning a visit soon, make sure you add these five locations to your Buda-bucketlist and do it for the 'Gram.

1. Szechenyi Baths

This big yellow building houses Budapest's most famous thermal baths. There's more of these bath spas inside, plus a beer spa where you can soak in a tub of hops and drink unlimited beer. It's definitely one to add to your must-visit list, but with it's bright yellow walls and blue pools, it's also a must-snap for one of your digital squares.

2. Fisherman's Bastion

With stunning views of the Hungarian Parliament Building, this is the place to go if you wanna give your followers good 'Gram. Get creative with the shapes of the buildings and then head to the restaurant to reward your artistic efforts with an Aperol Spritz and views to drink to!

3. Liberty Bridge

If you cross this bridge at lunchtime you'll notice locals and tourists alike climbing up on the bridge to eat lunch. Go early in the morning for a clear bridge and hoick yourself up for #SelfieGoals. Just remember to be safe (don't go too high!), respectful of others trying to cross the bridge, and take your rubbish with you.

4. Citadella

Go for the views. Citadella is at the top of Gellert Hill on the Buda side. As you walk up to the Liberty Statue you'll get plenty of opportunities to capture the insane views over the River Danube and across the Pest side of the city. You'll want to share your breathtaking panoramas with all the heart eye emojis!

5. Szimpla Kert

One of the best and most famous ruin bars in the city. There are so many random and quirky things to photograph in this multi-room club, but the one I'd go for is this seat made from a real bath tub. Grab a cocktail and soak in the bubble...er...I mean atmosphere.

Of course there are many photogenic spots throughout the city, but these are just a few of my favourites. And of course, once you've got that shot, make sure you put the camera away and enjoy the city around you. Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities I've visited, it's so worth the trip.
